Dear Fellow ACAP Members,
This issue of the ACAP Magazine has been issued just before one of our most important annual events - the ACAP Picnic. The Picnic is definitely a family affair with great live music, lots of kids games, clowns and mimes, super food for every taste, fireworks and lots more. For Dads and other futball fans, we are even going to have a beer garden featuring televisions and live fees of World Cup games (courtesy of Direct TV).
This year’s picnic will be at Colegio Roosevelt in Camacho on Saturday, June 19th and we will have bus service from LarcoMar and the Union Church. The event will start at 12 noon and end at about 6:30 p.m. when it gets dark.
Admission is S/.30 for adults and S/.20 for children 10 years of age and under. However, there’s a discount if you register and make payment before the end of May! So sign up now by calling the ACAP office at 222-6359 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday thru Friday or send an email to acaplima@gmail.com.
For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting our new ACAP staffers, I would like to introduce you to Sara Caballero and Malú Morey. Sara is ACAP’s events coordinator and she is doing a great job making sure that everything goes off like clockwork! Malú is ACAP’s office manager and she is the one who keeps everything in good order in the office. Feel free to call the office to speak to either Sara or Malú if you have any questions or comments.
I hope to see you at the ACAP Picnic on June 19 to help celebrate the Canadian and American communities in Peru.
Saludos, Tom Findley
