Almost any corner of Peru can be used for biking, specially the most important destinations of the Andes such as Cusco, Sacred Valley and Puno. There are many options according to the different levels. There are even tours to Pachacamac, Puerto Maldonado, Paracas and Cusco that you can do on bicycle. Along the town of Lima there are popular corners where BMX amateurs, practice different acrobatics. |

This sport arrived to Peru after a group from Poland that travelled the Colca river (Arequipa) and its white waters for the first time in late the 70’s. After that, several adventurous people developed different routes to do rafting. There are many options along the coast (Tumbes, Lunahuana) the highlands (the Colca River in Arequipa, Urubamba Valley in Cusco or the Santa River in Huaraz) and even in the jungle (Huallaga River in Junin or Tambopata in Puerto Maldonado). All of these are available in any of the for levels of white waters. |

| Andinism |
After the Himalayas, Andes are the tallest mountains in the world. The highest peak, the Huascaran is 6768 m.o.s.l. There are many sites in Peru where you can climb high mountains such as the “Cordillera Blanca”. And “Cordillera de Huaywash “ in Huaraz, the “Cordillera de Vilcabamba” in Cusco or the volcanoes in Arequipa. |

| Surfing |
In Peru all the year long is a good season to surf. Either in the tropical beaches of the northern Peru or in the cold waters of the southern coast, there is always a place where you can surf a wave. The main sites where to go are Huanchaco (Trujillo), Mancora, Chicama, Cabo Blanco, Pacasmayo and Lima. Peru has become an important locations for surfers and there have been international competitions in our country. |

The sea of Peru is one of the richest in the world and it has always been on the yes of fishermen. Ernest Hemingway used to go very often to fish to the northern beaches and the record of the biggest Merlin fished in the world (702Kg / 1560 lbs) was reached in the sea of Peru. The Titicaca Lake, the tallest in the world, is a very special site where to fish. As you may imagine, the experience of fishing over 3000 mts. above sea level, is totally breathtaking. Peru has several sites and landscapes that are worth it to be walked. Almost every place was be trekked and there are trekking for every kind of level (from the easies and shorter routes to the longest and harder) and many varieties of attractions (trekking where you can see nature, landscapes, archaeological sites, villages, etc). The Inca Trail is the most popular, but there are many other options such as the 5d/4n trekking to Choquequirao, the Volcanoes valley in Arequipa, the Colca Valley, or the tour around the Salcantay in Cusco. |

Rappel
Climbing |
To practice this sport, you need a ropes and rappel to climb tall walls of rocks that can reach an inclination of 90º. Surrounding Lima here are perfect riffs where to practice it such as Canchacalla, (46Km of the Central Highway where you can have classes about how to climb, or Infiernillo (67 Km of the same highway), considered as one of the most difficult to climb in the country. In the Andes, many “Bosques de piedras” are also a good alternative such as Huayllay in Pasco or Cumbemayo in Cajamarca. |

| Palestra |
Also known as Indoor Climbing. This sport has become very popular in Lima in the past 5 years. An artificial wall with little spots where people can put their feet and hands and climb the wall with the support of a rappel and people on the floor pulling security ropes. These walls can have different inclination that can be of less than 90º. There are companies n Lima and Cusco that rent these walls per time and they even give climbing classes. |

Bungee
Jumping |
There are many ways to do bungee. But the idea of this sport is to jump from a base. The jumper has the torso or the feet tied by long elastics to a base which can be located in a high platform or a bridge. This sport arrived to Peru by early the 90’s in Miraflores, Lima, but due to security reasons, it was later forbidden and moved to other locations. Nowadays, Cusco has thematic park where you can jump all year long. The jumping is from a platform located 122 mts over the floor and is one of the tallest in America. There are special festivities such as Adventure Sports Festival, celebrated in Huaraz, where this sport is also done. |

| Canyoning |
Canyoning is similar to climbing. You use a rappel o climb a rock wall but this time…it has a waterfall. Central jungle has lots of small waterfalls where to do this new sport. Tarma (8 hours east from Lima) is a nice place where to practice a soft level of this sport. Moyobamba, in the Northern Jungle, has many rivers hence little cascades and waterfalls where to climb with an impressive landscape and vegetations. |

| Skating |
Lima is a town where you can find skaters everywhere. Although at this moment there is no anymore an official skate park, there are several ramps in public parks and little corners around the cit where local skaters practice their best moves. At this moment, Lima is a City that can be visited on a skateboard. Districts like Miraflores, Barranco, and San Isidro, offers good roads and the security needed for a calm and long tour on wheels. |
