ART SHOW
Art humanizes, integrates, excites, recreates and expresses. In it, we find a route through which we interpret the world in a particular way. Art education involves exposing the student to a productive and enriching experience in which s/he can create images, analyze expressions of different cultures and understand the significance of human endeavor.
Our Students of the Visual Arts Baccalaureate program at Colegio Peruano Britanico, explore many techniques in the Visual Arts. These include photography, drawing, painting and sculpture. They work hard in the preparation of their works and they stand out for their good management of various pictorial techniques and the creativity to express, through image, their concerns, hopes and dreams. We enjoyed showing all these techniques, creativity and the hard work of our students at our Art Exhibition this last month which was possible with the support of our Headmaster and the school staff.
COLEGIO PERUANO BRITANICO
HUMAY PROJECT
Last month we concluded the third part of our project to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake. It involved the reconstruction of the College Las Delicias, Humay in Pisco. This school, located in front of the ruins of Tambo Colorado, had suffered extensive damage.
42 volunteers among students and teachers of Colegio Peruano Britanico and Hiram Bingham joined forces and traveled to the area with the aim of rebuilding 4 classrooms.
And so working shoulder to shoulder through the course of the day, what at first seemed impossible took shape, and eventually concluded with the painting of our last classroom. We had achieved our goal to build classrooms for students that were so in need.
The joy was reflected in our faces. "Mission Accomplished." A great experience we will always remember. |
