The Black & White Viennese Ball

Mark your calendars please as The Black and White Ball is right around the corner, on Saturday, October 21st 8:30 p.m. J.W. Marriott Hotel, Malecon de la Reserva 615, Miraflores. Your committee is working diligently, thinking up wild decorations and having fun, at the same time putting in long hours of work. The J.W. Marriott Hotel is the ideal locale for this gala event, from the size of the ballroom to the helpfulness of their staff. Nothing seems to be too much trouble - wouldn't it be wonderful if real life were like that?

The Ball’s theme this year is the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth and our decorations will be in keeping with grand parties of this era, with a string quartet, a champagne cocktail, perhaps even Mozart in person. Masks for all, ladies and gentlemen, will be given to you at the entrance. Please do not put them on immediately as we should like to announce you properly, for all to see. As you step into the reception, you may then use your mask. We trust that we will create a very elegant, very classical ambience in the reception area as well as in the ballroom, all throughout dinner - and then, it changes.

Fallo and Claudia Muñoz and their orchestra will heat up the evening with a classic repertoire of modern music, non stop and extremely danceable. One of the reasons we chose this orchestra is their unflagging energy and infectious beat.

Join us, whether in couples, as singles, in groups - friends all. You may not recognize the person beside you but that is all part of the fun of a masked ball. The "donation" per person is $50. Support your association with a corporate sponsorship for $1000 and receive all the recognition possible as well as extras on your table of ten. The evening is "corcho libre" (Free Corkage) although there will be an Association cash bar in case you forget.
