Restaurant Night: La Pagoda in El Olivar.
By Tish Meek
Once again we had the opportunity to enjoy good food together with fun and friendship.
We are so fortunate to be able to enjoy such wonderful culinary delights and our latest restaurant night was no exception-enjoy it we did. For those of you who may not have had the chance to visit the hotel and restaurant, please do so. It is located near one of the oldest olive groves in the city and is a beautiful area for walking.
The ambience was delightful and to accentuate the atmosphere we started the evening off with very nice champagne - what a great idea. Sometimes change is a good thing and enjoy the champagne we did. What a nice start to a great evening. After we chatted, drank and laughed, we then sat down to enjoy the wonderful meal that was to follow. The aji de gallina, filet of beef, potato pie were enjoyed by all. Then came the chocolate lucuma mousse-absolutely delightful. The young chef had done himself proud.
I look so forward to our restaurant nights. It is such a fun evening and a great way to get together with old friends and to meet new ones as well. I will look forward to seeing you all next month.
