Noche de Arte 2006
On June 9 and 10!
Yes! This year's Noche de Arte will take place in the Museo de la Nación on Javier Prado on June 9 and 10, so get ready because we have many different surprises for you!
Noche de Arte is the most important art event in Peru. It is organized by the United States Embassy Association (USEA) and the profits from the sales of the art will benefit very important charities in Peru. This year, photography has been added in addition to the traditional paintings and sculptures. There will be additional artistic surprises.
More than 350 artists and 600 pieces of art will be on display during these days. There are big expectations for this year's Noche de Arte since it is the second time it will take place at the Museo de la Nacion. Timothy DeHart, this year's Director said, “Noche de Arte will be the biggest success ever, we have a fantastic team and the key to this success is the commitment that our volunteers are putting into it.” When asked about the need for more volunteers, he said: “At this time in the process we find ourselves receiving applications for more volunteers who would like to be involved with the actual process of the art itself.”
Please send an e-mail to Jeanette Garayua to jeannette@nochedearte.com and let her know that you are interested in becoming a key player in Noche de Arte 2006. She will contact you immediately and set you up to start working! Please remember that the sooner you write the better it will be for increasing your chances to participate.
This year's web page has also changed; it has a very artistic look that you can see at www.nochedearte.com. Tickets for both nights will be sold at Teletickets, and there will be plenty of parking.
Be a part of this year's Noche de Arte, and let's be artists for a better world!
