ACAP Annual Canada Day / Independence Day Picnic

When: Saturday, July 1st 2006 noon until… Way past dark
Where: Colegio Franklin D. Roosevelt.
What: Our main fundraising event of the year - and tremendous fun!

We invite all of our members to join us in the planning stage of this mega event. Any suggestions, any ideas that you would like to share with us? Some improvements? Don't be shy.

We are looking for volunteers on the day even if it's only for an hour. Volunteering makes the picnic much more interesting, and there is always a good group of fun-loving members who volunteer each year. Would you like to meet more people? Are you new to the Association? Volunteer!

Any of you have musical talents you would like to showcase that day or know of others who do? The more the merrier, we say.

The tug of war was a great success last year, regardless of your nationality and we would like a repeat this year. Any volunteers?

Remember that this year, having the picnic at Roosevelt means that we are free to advertise the event more broadly and have less security concerns than other years, so we expect many more people to attend. That means a need for more members to help out on the day - teenagers are very welcome to our ranks … and bring your friends!
