Web Scout
School Starts Again: Try some Homework Helpers for Students
By Marcia Koth de Paredes

What resource is needed to help complete a learning task? How reliable is the resource? The amount of information online can be overwhelming for students but homework sites that help cut the mountain of information down to manageable size and are considered reliable by librarians, schools, associations and/or governments are rapidly being developed. This month's Web Scout suggests homework center portals that lead to information organized by topic, sometimes by age or school level, as well as suggestions for free online reference materials in English and Spanish that are useful in schools and universities. You will also find the reference materials helpful at work and home.
