International Christian School
of Lima (ICSL)
Please join ICSL at the restaurant Como Agua Para Chocolate (Pancho Fierro 108, San Isidro) for a fundraiser benefiting our Parent Teacher Organization. The restaurant will be donating 20% of all bills paid in cash on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 6 p.m. until closing. All you have to do is bring this notice to the restaurant and then enjoy a fabulous meal.
ICSL will be hosting the annual Christmas Bazaar at the Union Church on December 10th between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. There will be plenty of vendors, baked goods, and even some great auction items. Everyone is welcome to come by, sit on Santa's lap, and buy some presents for your friends and family. Profits made by the school will go toward the High School Banquet and our first senior class trip.
On December 16th at 6:30 p.m. our students will be performing our annual Christmas program. Everyone is welcome to come and watch our kindergarten through third grade students as they present traditional Christmas songs and skits. Then allow our students in grades 4 - 12 to take you on a trip of time and imagination. Imagine the story of the first Christmas being covered by a television news network like CBS, CNN, or Fox News. Tune in as ICSL students present, Mayhem in Bethlehem: a 30- Minute Special Report by Dave Noel and Jay Rouse. This musical comedy will be a blessing for all who attend.
San Silvestre School
Summer School - The great success of last year's Summer School has prompted Susy de la Borda, the Co-ordinator, to extend the activities to older children. Now grades 3 6 Summer School participants will have the chance to become archaeologists as they head out to the different areas of archaeological interest in Lima. This is a new project which has been encouraged by the new focus on Peruvian heritage led by Patricia Patiño and famous archaeologist Denise Pozzi-Escot.
For the younger children, there will be the wonderful mix of computers, music, ceramics, Afro-Peruvian dance and many other activities. If you would like more information, you can contact Susy de la Borda at the following e-mail address: summer@sansilvestre.edu.pe or log onto “Summer School” in the San Silvestre website: www.sansilvestre.edu.pe.
