RECENT EVENT

WHAT A BALL!!! It surely was the event of the year again this year from all I have heard from several of the 140 members and guests who attended. This was the first time for Joan and I as new members in Lima, but the friendly atmosphere made it very enjoyable. The ladies surely looked wonderful and the guys held our own, the Black & White theme lends an extra bit of panache to the evening.

The setting was excellent at the residence of the American Ambassador and his wife. The weather cooperated nicely, the Champagne and 'finger food' teased the appetite before dinner, every aspect of the dinner was delicious, with good service by the team of servers. The band was high energy 'All Night Long', they played practically non stop with a great mix of music that surely pleased everyone. Fallo Munzo is definitely of international caliber.

The table of the silent auction took some time to get busy, but when it did it seemed to have attracted a good set of folks wanting to take advantage of some good deals. -- Shad Prashad
