Benefits

The monthly newsletter keeps all members current on what is going on in Lima, as well as providing up-dates about ACAP and community events. It also features articles by members.

Cultural tours in English enable members to visit museums and other interesting places which are not normally part of city tours.

Every month the ACAP arranges a Restaurant Night at an outstanding restaurant in Lima where members and friends can enjoy cuisine at bargain prices, while at the same time enjoying the company of other members.

Other activities are offered on occasion if members request them, such as bridge, bowling, and other activities.

Special Events

The major event each year is the celebration of America's Independence Day and Canada Day early in July. Included in this festive day is a variety of entertainment, typical 4th of July food, games, and sports for the young. A day not to be missed.

As Peruvian spring arrives in October, the Spring Black and White Charity Ball is a gala event with superb food, drink, and dancing until the wee hours.

At the end of summer, ACAP throws a cocktail party to welcome new comers to give them an opportunity to mingle with all ACAP members, at no cost for new members, and at a nominal cost for others.

The Annual General Meeting in January gives members the opportunity to elect new directors, voice their opinions, and determine new policies, while also enjoying a great dinner.

Every Christmas season a dinner-dance welcomes in the New Year and celebrates the holidays with fine food and danceable music alongside ACAP friends - old and new.

St. Valentine's Day is always the occasion for a dinner and dance at one of Lima's best restaurants. The famous Lima food combines with wine and music for lovers of all ages.

The American Thanksgiving Day offers a long weekend at a resort hotel and includes a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. A great family opportunity!
