NEW EARLY CHILDHOOD / KINDERGARTEN CENTER BUILDING
Colegio Roosevelt is proud to announce the opening of our new Early Childhood/Kindergarten (EC/K) Center in February 2010.  Early Childhood and Kindergarten students will move to a state-of-the-art facilities especially designed to meet their developmental needs. The EC/K Center will include 12 spacious classrooms, a music room, a large multipurpose room, support spaces and a playground.

EARLY YEARS 2011
On Saturday 10th April at 9:30 a.m. there will be an informative talk for applicant parents who are interested in presenting their daughters for the Early Years (Nursery and Pre-School) in 2011.  Afterwards there will be guided tours of both campuses.  If you would like more information, please contact the Admissions Officer, Valeria Talleri, telephone number 241-3334 – Extension 123.

Newspaper collection
If you do not have any recycling unit close to you, please bring us your newspapers on or before Saturday 24th April (morning), when the House teams will compete to collect the most paper, the sale of which provides funds to cover the cost of breakfast every day for 600 children in the Sagrada Familia home in Zapallal.  Help these children by helping the environment!

Environmental Awareness
* In keeping with the general awareness of the need to protect the environment, on Saturday the 24th of April a group of San Silvestre students of Form IV will be going to the Pantanos de Puerto Viejo to clean away the debris left by careless visitors. Later in the year, other students will clean the Lomas de Lachay and many public beaches.

* The students of Form V have designed large bags made out of recycled material.  There are three colours and three designs:
“I am not a plastic bag”
“I am part of the solution”
“I am a Go-Green member”
If you are interested in having a bag, which can be used instead of plastic shopping bags, please contact San Silvestre where the Go Green campaign is in full action!
