Host Carlos Zegarra and his bilingual crew offered us a behind-closed-doors exclusive for a most enthusiastic group that delighted in the variety of Thai dishes.

After a most delightful and original cocktail called Lemongrass Sour, (essence of lemon grass -- hierba luisa -- blended with pisco), heaping plates of arroz bankok, meegrob gungo, curried duck with cherry tomatoes in coconut milk, spring rolls, and chicken with basil.

Siam also offered a series of tempting deserts including crepes stuffed with fresh fruit and ice cream. The evening closed with smiles and promises to return soon.
