| Opportunities
like this come around once in a life time. ACAP was able to arrange a gastronomical
event that will rival all cooking events of the past. In collaboration with Le
Cordon Bleu Peru and the celebrated Chef Joanne Weir, ACAP has arranged a live
cooking demonstration to be held in the teaching auditorium at Le Cordon Bleu
in Miraflores. This modern teaching auditorium seats 100 and is tiered so all
can view the demonstration kitchen, along with dual screens and projectors on
either side. It also is outfitted with a complete teaching kitchen with state-of-the-art
equipment. Chef
Joanne, who is a member of the International Association of Cooking Professionals
along with ACAP Board member David Jesson, has agreed to hold this cooking demonstration
for the benefit of the Association. Chef Joanne is one of the elite among
our cooking peers according to Chef David Jesson, who also hosts an international
cooking series filmed in Peru. The
cooking demonstration will be live, and Chef Joanne will prepare some of her favorite
rustic dishes. A peek at the menu shows us a Warm Olive and Caramelized Onion
Tart, Grilled Leg of Lamb with Moroccan Spices, Harissa Aioli, and much more.
Those who attend will be provided with a small tasting of each dish prepared.
This event will
be held in the evening during the 3rd week of November; exact dates and costs
will be announced when tickets go on sale in October. Look for the announcement,
and be sure to purchase your tickets early, as they will surely go fast and the
seating is limited. |
